In September 2002, Bermuda’s largest cable provider was handed a one-year operating license, having just invested $6.5 million in the plant, with plans to invest another $7.5 million. The investors in the company needed more than a year to recoup their investment.

Strategy

Troncossi worked day and night with the Chairman, General Manager and Marketing Director, to communicate its position and gain public sentiment on its side.

Results

After a public three-week battle with the Minister of Telecommunications, the cable provider was awarded a 10-year contract in addition to the 1-year contract it had previously received. This secured the viability of the company for the next decade.
