The client wanted to increase the number of its followers on Twitter so that the hotel’s services can be promoted in the future to interested customers.

Strategy

Troncossi organised Bermuda’s first tweetup for The Fairmont Southampton in May 2010.

Results

In addition to positioning The Fairmont Southampton as a leader in the social media arena, the tweetup also enabled us to increase followers of The Fairmont Southampton on Twitter by 15 percent or 38 people. Three of the followers arranged to meet for the chocolate extravaganza at Jasmine Lounge as a result of learning about it from a Fairmont Southampton tweet.
